Animal guides have served man since the beginning of time. Having sharper senses and often greater physical abilities, animals guides can act as protectors and are beneficial to their human partners. The animal that chooses a person has affinity with that person, often displaying similar character and personality traits. In this personal relationship, the power or essence of the animal can be communicated.
Wolves, for example, possess strong instincts, intelligence and loyalty. They can outwit their enemies and pass unseen during the night. Wolves mate for life and, as pack animals, understand the importance if social communication. If a wolf shows up in your life in some way, this could signal that you need its strength or characteristics to support you with challenges in your life. A threatening wolf could warn of the devouring instincts of those around you. If you feel vulnerable, ask what or who has this influence. It may be warning of a challenge to your personal boundaries. The appearance of this predator might also indicate the arousal of strong sexual energy or addictive cravings and express your fears and anxieties.
Birds are spiritual guides of the air and can help us gain perspective, insights and self-awareness. They enhance communication to the past and provide glimpses of the future. Geese mate for life and are especially known for loyalty. This bird is determined and resourceful and often acts as a messenger warning of peril.
