We have been ravaged by raiders for centuries. First, they took our animal furs and our timber. Then, they took our coal and our sand. Now, they’re stealing our water. My family must act.
I remember this land when the Indians lived here and panthers roamed the high ridges. Though I now dwell in the astral world, I’m drawn back to help my struggling kin. I’m sick at heart when I see how this beautiful land is being defiled.
My hope lies in my great-granddaughter, Anna, who has inherited my powers. My only fear is that her skills have attracted evil forces, who want to control her to their own ends. Along with the Dark Fey, my grandson Dillon is one of these threats.
I should have dealt with Dillon years ago; now I must do my duty.
