I have spent several hundred years avoiding humans, but they are damaging our mountain and creating havoc. The water thefts have only intensified my belief that most humans are unscrupulous and greedy. They have no respect for nature or the laws of the universe.
Exceptions are the descendants of the Wise Woman, Anna Mae Fields. Her family is fighting to save the water. I must exclude Dillon, the noxious little warlock and grandson to Anna Mae. As judge of the Fey Court, I had to pass judgment on Dillon and would love to have sentenced him to oblivion. However, he was ably defended by his kinswoman, young Anna, who got him off. She is a bright star who will accomplish much in her lifetime, but saving Dillon wasn’t one of her better decisions. He should have been cast out.
My nephew, Rad, is in love with Anna and has forgotten the pitfalls of courting a mortal. He may have met his match in this girl.
