When I first met Dan Fields that cold night eighteen years ago, I read his palm and knew he’d traveled from the past and would have an amazing future. I also saw great turmoil confronting him.
His young daughter, Anna, has now become my apprentice and I can already see that her powers, though undeveloped, will become far greater than mine. She is anxious to learn and will soon be ready to take her rightful place in the world of magic.
My fear is that her skills will attract dark forces, which will only wish to use her. I also worry about her fascination with all things Fey, especially her attraction to the young Fey Prince, Rad.
Anna must remember that magic always comes at a price, and she must be willing to pay that price.
